Healthcare Costs On The Rise Again
Over the next 12 months healthcare costs are projected to rise approximately 11 percent. This is based on a survey conducted in the medical, vision, pharmacy and dental plan vendors.
More than 70 healthcare plan providers, that carry approximately 100 million insured individuals, projected various rate increases through September 2007. This increase will affect health maintenance organizations, point-of service plans, preferred provider plans, indemnity plans and even consumer driven health care plans.
Why are the increases inevitable? There are many reasons some or which include the increasing costs to keep up with medical technology and the rising costs to maintain hospitals. Surprisingly pharmacy costs are decreasing when compared to last year’s figures. The average cost consumers will pay at their local pharmacy will decrease approximately 9.5 percent over last year.
With all of the health insurance and dental insurance cost increases due this year, consumer driven healthcare plans like AmeriPlan will help those who are already strapped with high insurance rates. AmeriPlan will give consumers an affordable health insurance alternative.
